Welcome to Greenhill Farm.
This is GREENHILL FARM, a small organic beginning at the very top of Ireland.
For a few years now, we have been learning how grow vegetables using organic methods. Along the way we have met other people who would like to learn more about organic issues too, so we do our best to answer any questions we're asked, and if we can't we know a lot of people who can!
This website has been designed with a lot of different people in mind.
Because we have been involved in many organic and environmentally based groups over the years, we have built up a network of like minded people both in Inishowen and further afield.
The BLOG page highlights some of the events and happenings of other groups and has info on what's happening in the area from an agri/environmental point of view.
We are also hosts in the WWOOF organisation, and this website will give potential volunteers a taste of what life might be like on Greenhill Farm.
The DIARIES record (when I have time) what's happening in the garden at different times of the year. This can be helpful to local gardeners because the timelines given in many of the veg growing handbooks are designed for the south of England, where the weather and length of day are a lot different to Inishowen!
We now stock a wide range of TOOLS and equipment, along with organic preparations that can be used in Organic Farming, and I should mention, of course, that we also grow Certified Organic VEGETABLES throughout most of the year.
