FOOD AS NATURE INTENDED...

This is Greenhill Farm, a small organic beginning at the very top of Ireland.
For a few years now, we have been learning how grow vegetables using organic methods. Along the way we have met other people who would like to learn more about organic issues too, so we do our best to answer any questions we're asked, and if we can't we know a lot of people who can!

So, who are we?
My name is Mary Reilly, I live in Malin, Inishowen, Co.Donegal with my husband, John, our two children Seán and Shannon, one dyspraxic dog, Charley, one blind guinea pig, Sparky, and two miniature horses who are far too intelligent to leave anywhere close to an unlocked gate, especially if there's tasty veg on the other side! My parents also live close by.

Through the following pages we will try to explain how and why we wound up growing organic vegetables on a North-facing slope in a field that used to be a quarry, with a direct line to every gust of wind that blows from Canada, why we ever thought this might be a good idea, and, most importantly, how successful will we be?

How to find us

Greenhill Farm is situated between Carndonagh, Malin Village and Culdaff, near Trawbeaga Bay on the Inishowen Peninsula. *( on the low green bit which will flood, according to prophecy, at the end of the world! No worries...)

On the road to Culdaff from Carn, take a left at the small crossroads between Longfield Furniture and the Red Gates B&B, and we're second on the right halfway down the hill.
